ASTRAZENECA FUNDS SETTING UP A FIELD HOSPITAL DURING COP27 IN SHARM EL-SHEIKH

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Some of these changes have no effect, and others are challenging. This November a United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held to discuss how to make the future better and reduce the global threat.

About COP27

It is the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference. The twenty-seventh session of the Conference will be held to explicit awareness of the seriousness of the global climate challenge and appreciation of the significance of multilateral, cooperative, and concerted action as the only way to face this real global threat.

COP27 To Be Held in Egypt

The Council of Ministers announced that in the framework of the ongoing preparations for the plans and programs for Egypt to host the COP27 climate conference, to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh next November.

About 35,000 people from around the globe have been enlisted on the United Nations website for COP27, setting the upcoming climate conference on the path to becoming one of the most attended COPs, based on a recent report by the Egyptian Earth Climate Foundation for Sustainable Development.

Egypt Approves AstraZeneca’s Grant to Build a Field Hospital

Egypt’s PM has accepted the grant provided by AstraZeneca, in favor of the Public Authority for Health Care to be used in setting up a mini field hospital within the scope of the conference.

It comes within the procedures of the medical insurance plan for the Climate Conference, by contracting with one of the specialized companies, which submitted the best technical and financial offers, to implement the field hospital before the start of the conference activities, to provide medical services during the conference period.
