Pay-per-click means that the advertiser pays the publisher when an ad is clicked to drive traffic to the website. 

SEO focuses on organic reach. It’s a long-term process and involves regular creation of content that is SEO-friendly leading to a higher ranking on the search engine which is proportional to the amount of traffic to this website.
