For years, digital marketers adjusted their marketing strategies to fit each brand’s specific target audience. By creating the right buyer persona, brands could reach the right customer. That is what we mean by Inbound marketing. You deliver the right message to the right people at the right time every single time. Old-School Marketing Techniques were missing this. But nowadays, digital marketing goods or services depends on finding customers who share the same interests as yours, so they are more likely to be searching for your brand just as you are trying to reach them.
What is a Lookalike Audience?
A Lookalike Audience is a way to reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business because they are like your best existing customers. It is a great way to increase your audience on social media while keeping your ads as targeted as possible.
Lookalike audience enables you to expand your audiences on Facebook while not affecting the quality of these audiences. For instance, if you have an email list of people that use your website, and you want to use this list in your social media marketing campaigns you can upload this list to Facebook as a custom audience, then tell Facebook to find people who look like those who are on your list.
You do this by heading to the audience section on your Facebook business account, then you will find the “Create Audience” button.
Another example is if you want to create a Lookalike audience that looks like the fans of your page. These page fans are called source audience, which is the audience you base your lookalike audience on.
So, the context looks like this, when you create a Lookalike Audience you select the source audience, select the audience location, then you adjust the audience size. The smaller the size, the more targeted and the more matched.
Your Lookalike Audience should contain at least 100 people from a single country. The interesting thing is you can create up to 500 Lookalike Audiences from a single source audience. People in the source audience you used to build your Lookalike Audiences are going to be excluded unless you use a pixel as your source audience.
Types of Custom Audiences
